The design of the cam profile curve of the cartoning machine

SolidWorksMotion can create cam profiles based on tabular data or input functions. In this paper, the follower is driven by inputting the required motion, and the reverse solution is used to generate the cam profile from the motion of the follower.
First, a pusher assembly as shown in Fig. 3 is established, which is a simplified three-dimensional model. The cam is temporarily replaced by a disc, which is fixed on the transmission shaft; the swing rod is composed of one long and one short two-section connecting rod, which is convenient for adjusting the angle of the two connecting rods, and the two connecting rods are fixed together during the movement, and at the same time It is fixed on the pin shaft with bearing housing; the bearing housing is not shown in the figure, but the positional relationship of the pin shaft, the transmission shaft and the rail is restricted according to the structural size requirements.
Secondly, create a new motion study in SolidWorks Motion and define a linear motor for the push slider. The specific parameter settings are shown in Figure 3. Enter the data in the table and select the segment curve type to generate the graph. 2 The motion law is shown, and a rotary motion of speed of 30r/min is added to the cam disc of the cartoning machine. After setting the gravitational direction and the properties of the simulation example, the example is run and solved for 2s.

Finally, the shape and data of the tracking path curve of the center point of the roller as shown in FIG. 4 and Table 1, that is, the theoretical contour curve of the cam are obtained. Output this trace directly to SolidWorks to quickly generate the cam parts shown in Figure 5.
