Selection of blister packaging machine

The blister packaging machine has many structural forms, including a single blister substrate structure and a double blister non-substrate structure, and the packaging material mainly consists of a blister-forming thermoplastic film and a backing substrate.
The substrate is also a major component of the blister packaging machine. As with plastic films, the size, shape, and mass (weight) of the package must be considered when selecting. The substrate mainly consists of white paperboard, coated composite materials (mainly coated with heat seal coating), corrugated cardboard, coated aluminum foil and polyvinyl chloride composite materials.

1, plastic film
Blister packaging machines use a variety of plastic sheets and specifications, must consider the size, quality, value and impact resistance of the packaged products, but also consider whether the packaged products have sharp or protruding edges and corners, as well as the material itself. Heat sealing and easy cutting, etc., but also consider the adaptability of the plastic film and the packaged material, that is, the material selected to meet the technical requirements of the blister packaging, and minimize the packaging cost.
The rigid plastic sheets used in blister packaging machines are cellulose, polystyrene, polyethylene resin, polyvinyl chloride, composite aluminum foil, etc. Among them, cellulose is the most common application, including cellulose acetate, cellulose butyrate, and c. Acid cellulose, etc., all have excellent transparency and thermoformability, good heat sealability and grease resistance, but the heat sealing temperature of cellulose is generally higher than other plastic sheets. The oriented stretched polystyrene has excellent transparency and good heat sealability, but has poor impact resistance and is easily broken, and even more at low temperatures. The price of vinyl resin is generally cheaper than that of polystyrene. It is hard and soft. It has good transparency. It has good heat-sealing properties with paperboard with layer. It can improve cold resistance and impact strength after adding plasticizer. For the contents that require barrier properties and protection from light, plastic sheets and aluminum foil composite materials should be used. Packaging of foods and pharmaceuticals requires the use of non-toxic plastics such as non-toxic polyvinyl chloride (PVC), etc., and must meet health standards.
2, the substrate
The substrate is also a major component of the blister package. As with plastic films, the size, shape, and mass (weight) of the package must be considered when selecting. The substrate is usually white cardboard. The white paperboard is made of bleached sulphate wood pulp or covered with recycled paper as a base paper. The size, shape and quality of the contents should be considered when selecting. The surface of the substrate should be white and shiny, and the printability is good. The heat seal coating can be firmly applied to ensure that the heat seal coating is melted, and the substrate and the blister can be tightly combined to prevent the contents from falling. Out. The substrate material can also be coated with corrugated paper of type B or enamel, coated aluminum foil and various composite materials.
3, coating material
In addition to plastic films and substrates, the choice of coating materials is also critical. If the coating material is not properly selected, it may cause the blister film to be destroyed during heat sealing. Therefore, the heat seal coating should be compatible with the substrate and the blister; the heat seal temperature should be relatively low so that the heat seal can be quickly sealed without causing the blister film to break the common heat seal coating material with a solvent resistant vinyl resin. And water-resistant acrylic resin, they all have good gloss, transparency and heat sealing ability.
